You want the best in skincare so many of our carrier oils are organic and so you know which, we tell you. A description of what ingredients we use in our products is available below simply by clicking over an image found on the left.

Elaeis Guineensis

Palm Kernel oils contains large proportions of lauric acid - a fatty acid - which is unusual because it combines two mis-matched characteristics

  • saturation

  • a low molecular weight

These traits enable Palm Kernel oil (Babassu oil and Coconut oil too) to produce a hard soap that lathers well in all kinds of water.

Normally, a saturated oil produces a hard soap but with weak lathering abilities; these oils however have low molecular weights meaning they are more soluble to produce an easy, quick lather.

Characteristics of lauric acid in Palm Kernel oil shows why it is a first choice for many soap manufacturers.

Palm Kernel oil - like Coconut oil - can have a drying effect when used in excess yet is moisturising when used in moderation.
